Journey of 1000 Miles
Interactive Program
Letter from the Cofounder
Dear Audience,
Thank you so much for being a part of Journey of 1000 Miles! This epic concert series is presented in collaboration with Angela Han Art LLC and the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center (APICC), and featured in the 28th Annual United States of Asian America Festival: Critical Refuge!
"Journey of 1000 Miles" aims to increase the representation of Asian women composers in classical performance repertoire while amplifying their lived experiences as immigrants in the United States. Through live discourse between musical performances, we will create meaningful connections between audience members, composers, and performers. Artist Angela Han will create artwork during the concerts which will serve as both monuments to this collaboration and visual reflections of these educational dialogues.
We hope you enjoy the efforts of everyone who made this project possible and please visit our other colleagues performances in the USAAF 2025 festival!
Sincerely,
Leah Froyd
President of Insight Chamber

About the Composers, Musicians, & Artist
Salons & Acknowledgements
Our focus is on bringing you into the music. We perform in small, intimate salons to help audiences connect with classical music on a deeper level. This removes the separation between performers and audience members created by enormous concert halls and elevated stages. In truth, this is how many of the most beloved works of chamber music were meant to be heard: in beautiful homes with a sense of community and unity. Our events honor the traditions of chamber music while building community between musicians and non-musicians.
